I’m a NZ citizen and my husband is a British citizen who’s able to live and work in Australia on a NZ partnership visa. When our regular mortgage adviser informed us that we’d not be able to have both names on the mortgage, that I’d be considered a foreign investor (so have to pay tax) and basically no bank would give us a mortgage obviously was a terrible thing to hear and really stressed us out. Within 2 minutes of talking with Tom L we were assured that we COULD get a mortgage and lots of banks would provide us the chance to buy a house together. Tom’s been amazing throughout the mortgage advice side of this and the settlement and we couldn’t be happier. I have used Map home loan services since 2012 with two occasions requiring financing. My situations had their challenges and we stumbled on obstacles, but, from the start Craig Vaughan was my way-finder. (I am in no way educated or familiar with banking to even pretend to understand what I was doing). He dealt with the banks and lawyers, he simplified the monotony of paperwork, always incredibly easy to contact (even with the silliest of queries). I found him honest and patient, up to date with relevant legislation and fiscal climate change and I especially appreciate the personal component of the business… I always made to feel I was number one on their list
